This kit is perfect for someone wanting to install and configure their own smart products and feeling confident to do so on their own. You will be required to have some basic coding knowledge in python as well as an understanding of networking. There are many guides on the Home assistant website to help you along your journey though.
NB First time use:
You must have the included network cable plugged into your Pi4 on one end and your modem/router on the other. The intial setup will take around 10-15 minutues, you can use a program called Fing to scan your network to find the IP of your new Pi4 (The device will show up as hass.io). You then put that IP into your browser of choice (Chrome/Firefox/Safari) followed by port 8123, for example 192.168.0.100:8123 and follow the on screen steps.
